[edit] Listing
Listing is mostly automatic, partly manual. Every host that sends spam to our mailservers will be listed immediately for 30 days. The list is daily checked by the Admin, so we detect and remove erroneous listings as fast as possible.
Anyway, listing is not as easy as it may seem at the first glance. To avoid false additions, several checks are done before an address gets listed.
An IP is always not listed, if
- it is listed in a DNS whitelist (e. g. list.dnswl.org)
- the spamfilter says anything like 'No SPAM'
An IP gets listed, if
- it is listed in 3 of 8 other (well known) dnsbl's (automatically)
- the spamfilter score is high (automatically)
- the Admin added it (manually)
Of course, this is only a small selection of all requirements.
[edit] Removal
An IP address is removed fom the blacklist after 30 days, if it was added automatically and no spam was seen again from it in this timerange.
If it was added manually, then an IP address is usually removed after 60 days.
Additionally, you can send us a request, to remove an IP address before the above mentioned times are over. Please see section 'External links' of this document for an appropiate link.
